Like. Sometimes when I’m in a horrible state (which is more lately tbh) I don’t feel like I’m myself or human and everyone around me almost feels alien.. so I feel like I associate them with something else, like a car or a shirt or even just their voice and it puts some pieces together
For me I just constantly play with my Monroe and nose ring and I yank out my hair
I bite myself and grab my bones to feel real

Bea could be identical looking to Kristen Stewart but that’s not what Mae sees at all
She sees an alligator.. in order to make this real person seem real to her.
